Vessel and Berth Management System provisioned by Navayuga Infotech for Dubai Customs, UAE went live on 4th November, 2019. The system has been successfully deployed across the ports of Dubai Creek, Marfaa Deira and Al Hamriya Ports. All three ports are being managed by Dubai Customs, one of the leading customs authorities in the world. In recent times, Dubai Customs has led several initiatives including provisioning of the Vessel and Berth Management System to modernize the port operations. Given the advanced infrastructure and state-of-the-art management facilities and services, Dubai Customs has become a destination of choice for investors and businessmen.
The Vessel and Berth Management System will help Dubai Customs provide better services to its stakeholders and improve the efficiency of vessel management and berthing by automating the process of booking, organizing, facilitating, monitoring and tracking the docking of vessels at the ports. The system automates and centralizes marine operations by providing an integrated system with a structured framework and workflow to request, process, notify and share information amongst all users at the appropriate level in order to manage business processes in an efficient and timely manner. The system will also handle end to end billing for vessel and berth management related services and will therefore help Dubai Customs control revenue leakages.
Navayuga provisioned and customized PortKonnect, its flagship product for the Maritime domain, to meet Dubai Custom’s requirements. PortKonnect, an end to end Port Management System, is already being used across major ports in the world including Durban, Cape Town, Krishnapatnam etc. and is currently under implementation at the Cochin Port in India.
